If you ever have seen Gordan Ramsey on TV you know what he is about, rough, gruff, mean and likes to curse.
If you watch Kitchen Nightmares, he really seems like, well a bad guy. But it also comes across that he really does care about the people he is trying to help, and it becomes more clear as each episode goes on.
This book ties it all together in an honest book that goes through his life and the challenges he has faced getting where he is now. In almost classic fashion he made it past a harsh childhood and family problems to become who he is, and explains the fact that underneath the gruff and rough persona that is alot of what you see on television, when it comes down to it he really does care.

This is a good read, however it does jump around a bit. The tonelity and language assure it is his words, in terms of how he comes off on television, but what this book is really about are the experiences he went through as a child to becoming a Celebrity Chef, which are remarkable. This book is an easy read, although perhaps having a good understanding of cooking and the culinary profession may enhance the read, anyone might love it. His story is inspirational.

I'm about halfway through this book and I love it! Reading this book you can just hear him talking! The language in the book is as realistic as his TV shows. I marvel at how far he's come after the life he's had. God bless Chef Ramsay!

I thought the audio book was great....Only problem is the cd us abridged. It left me wanting more. Perhaps it's his way of getting me to read the book.

I recieved this bnook and was shocked at the condition. It looked as if it was new.
The shipping was so fast I could not believe it. I have order things from the same state I live in and have not recieved items as fast as I have recieved this book.
I would highly reccomend this seller and would buy from again without a second thought.

This is an amazing autobiography. If you are a Ramsay fan you get just what you'd expect--some brutal honesty, some settling of old scores, some name dropping, and of course some profanity liberally sprinkled throughout.
The first half of the book where Ramsay talks about his childhood, his soccer ambitions, and his apprenticeship into the world of haute cuisine is fascinating. Once he has "made it" in that world however the stories aren't as interesting to me. However, the book is very short and thankfully this ends before getting too tiresome. Still in all it is a pretty good read and taking price into consideration it definitely is 5 stars given the $2.87 I paid for the Kindle version.
