- Read Ramsay's honest account of his childhood
- Discover the class struggle faced by Gordon
- Understand why Gordon is the famous man you see today
The culinary genius tells of his life from childhood to Michelin stardom including his brother's heroin addiction, his father's alcoholism and violence and the effects on his relationships with his mother and siblings and his first career as a footballer with Glasgow Rangers.
`Gordon Ramsay's Humble Pie - so exuberantly angry boastful, cliché-ridden, expletive-laden and touchingly sincere that I can't believe that a single sentence has been written by anyone but the failed footballer, great cook, telly star and businessman himself. He's the genuine bollocks, as he's so fond of saying, and this is the tale of his personal class struggle.' - The Observer
A well written and compelling read for all fans.

If you watch Kitchen Nightmares, he really seems like, well a bad guy. But it also comes across that he really does care about the people he is trying to help, and it becomes more clear as each episode goes on.
This book ties it all together in an honest book that goes through his life and the challenges he has faced getting where he is now. In almost classic fashion he made it past a harsh childhood and family problems to become who he is, and explains the fact that underneath the gruff and rough persona that is alot of what you see on television, when it comes down to it he really does care.
The shipping was so fast I could not believe it. I have order things from the same state I live in and have not recieved items as fast as I have recieved this book.
I would highly reccomend this seller and would buy from again without a second thought.

The first half of the book where Ramsay talks about his childhood, his soccer ambitions, and his apprenticeship into the world of haute cuisine is fascinating. Once he has "made it" in that world however the stories aren't as interesting to me. However, the book is very short and thankfully this ends before getting too tiresome. Still in all it is a pretty good read and taking price into consideration it definitely is 5 stars given the $2.87 I paid for the Kindle version.
